Talalay Latex Mattresses

Granite Furniture has Talalay latex mattresses built to our specifications. Talalay latex is the process that keeps the latex at a uniform density as it is poured so that you get a softer more uxorious feel. Latex is a very comfortable material and our mattresses come in four different models. The latex mattresses have an foam core base with different thicknesses of latex and a Euro top to give it that special look.

Spineotic Custom Made Mattress

Granite is pleased to introduce a revolutionary new custom made mattress technology called the Spineotic Mattress, developed at the Institute Proschlaf in the Salzburg Medical Center in Austria. The Spineotic custom made mattress had 19 zones along the body that can be configured to perfectly match your body's support needs and to give you ultimate comfort.

The Spineotic custom made mattress is the result of 25 years of physical sleep research done at the Institut Proschlaf in Salzburg Salzburg Medical Center. The physical sleep research is focused on the environment and the and the mechanical influences that allow us to get good sleep. If we have the right triggers to initiate sleep, then we will fall asleep. We will also stay asleep if we have reduced the influences that cause us to toss and turn. From a mechanical perspective this would be to have proper support for the spine to keep it aligned and to evenly distribute pressure along the body with enough relief in the area of the shoulders and the hips.

Tossing and turning is very destructive to our sleep cycles and night and just waking up to change position one time can rob us of as much of an hour of deep sleep. Deep Sleep is where the mind has shut down to a minimum of activity, approximately 1-3 hz of activity. During this time the body is actively producing human growth hormone and making other nutrients available in the blood stream to rebuild muscles, tendons, and ligaments as well as all other organs and tissues in the body to give you the energy and vitality to perform physically during the next day.

Another phase of our sleep is the REM Sleep where the mind is very active replaying the information that we have taken in and organizing that inf0

ormation and building neural pathways to recall it. During this time the body is shut down so that as the mind replays the information the body will not react to it and potentially cause us to hurt ourselves. In REM Sleep the mind is working at 7-10 hz or above.
